Decoy

The original "Decoy" box bag came out in 1964.  You'll notice it's on a slightly larger box and the ec copyright is on the upper right on a green oval shape.  I'm guessing the second undated "Decoy" is a later version using the same silkscreen design.  Enid sold her artwork and silkscreen designs to Tandy Leather Co., which continued to make several box bags with her original designs.  The differences can be found in the variations in jewel patterns, leather color, box sizes, and inside text.

The original "Decoy" box bag has a brown leather latch and piece on top of the bag, with a black handle.  The ec copyright is on a green vertical oval on the front upper right. Inside, it reads "the Original Box Bag by Collins of Texas. hand-decorated for You! copyright 1964 enid collins. The box is stained mahogany and slightly larger than the later "Decoy" box bag.

I don't know the date of this undated "Decoy" box bag.  I am guessing it is a remake of the 1964 original bag.  The silkscreen (same colors) is on a slightly smaller box bag, and the latch is black (rather than brown) and there is no piece of leather on top of the bag. There's an ec copyright on the lower right, which normally doesn't appear on later bags.  The inside reads "Enid Collins' Original Box Bag by Collins of Texas."
